About Us

ISKCON Sri Radha Shyamachandra Mandir

A Spiritual Home for Devotion, Knowledge & Service. Serving Raichur With the Timeless Wisdom of the Vedas

ISKCON Sri Radha Shyamachandra Mandir, Raichur is a vibrant spiritual center dedicated to sharing the eternal teachings of the Vedas, Bhagavad-gītā, Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam, and the sublime message of Lord Sri Krishna and Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu.
Rooted in the pure bhakti tradition of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON), our mission is to make the science of devotion relevant, accessible, and transformative for everyone—students, professionals, families, and seekers.

A Sanctuary of Bhakti in Raichur

Located in the heart of the city, ISKCON Raichur functions through its serene small temple and flourishing Goshala, where cows are served with love. As our grand temple steadily rises at Krishnagiri Hills Layout, Ashapur Road, the spiritual activities continue to grow through widespread community programs.

Our temple offers:

    • Daily Deity worship
    • Engaging kirtans
    • Satsang and study circles
    • Youth and children’s programs
    • Festival celebrations
    • Goshala seva
    • Community outreach initiatives

Every activity is designed to bring individuals closer to Sri Sri Radha Shyamachandra and cultivate a life of devotion, purity, and joy.

Sharing Spiritual Knowledge for Modern Life

At ISKCON Raichur, we present the essence of Vedic wisdom in a practical and relatable way.
Our teachings emphasize how Bhagavad-gītā can guide:

    • Daily decision-making
    • Stress-free living
    • Professional excellence
    • Family harmony
    • Personal transformation

Whether through structured study sessions or informal discussions, devotees gain clarity, purpose, and spiritual strength.

Satsang Across the City — 15+ Growing Communities

Our mission extends beyond the temple through 15+ active Satsang programs across Raichur, conducted both online and offline.
These gatherings include:

    • Bhagavad-gītā and Bhāgavatam classes
    • Harināma kirtan
    • Devotion-centered life lessons
    • Personal spiritual guidance

Each satsang circle becomes a mini spiritual oasis—uplifting hearts and fostering deep devotional friendships.

Celebrating Festivals With Joy and Devotion

Raichur devotees come together enthusiastically to celebrate:

    • Janmashtami
    • Ratha Yatra
    • Gita Jayanti
    • Gaura Purnima
    • Nityananda Trayodashi
    • Govardhan Puja
    • Ekadashis and monthly Sankirtan

Our festivals are filled with melodious bhajans, traditional rituals, inspiring pravachans, and delicious prasādam—creating unforgettable spiritual experiences for all ages.

Exploring Holy Places and Krishna-Lila

A special feature of ISKCON Raichur is its devotee-led explorations of sacred sites, narratives, and stories from:

    • Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam
    • Bhagavad-gītā
    • Chaitanya Charitamrita
    • Pilgrimage traditions

Through classes, yatras, and storytelling events, devotees gain a deeper appreciation of Krishna-lila and the lives of saints.

Chanting the Hare Krishna Mahā-Mantra

At the heart of all activities lies the sacred chant:
Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare

Chanting is more than a ritual—it’s a powerful meditation that:

    • Purifies the heart
    • Relieves stress
    • Awakens devotion
    • Connects the soul with Krishna

Visitors often report profound peace, joy, and clarity simply by joining our kirtan sessions.

Serving Society With Compassion

Inspired by Srila Prabhupāda’s vision, ISKCON Raichur is committed to seva that uplifts the community.

Our initiatives include:

    • Food distribution and prasadam seva
    • Goshala care for cows
    • Spiritual counseling
    • Youth empowerment
    • Value-based education programs
    • Participation in city welfare activities

These efforts embody the core Vaishnava values of kindness, humility, and service to all beings.

The Grand Temple Project — A Beacon of Devotion

The upcoming Sri Radha Shyamachandra Mandir at Krishnagiri Hills Layout is envisioned as:

    • A cultural and spiritual landmark
    • A center for Vedic learning
    • A sanctuary of beauty, devotion, and peace
    • A hub for youth, families, and community service

As construction progresses, we invite well-wishers to participate through:

    • Seva opportunities
    • Donations
    • Volunteering
